We trimmed weight in the midsole, outsole, and upper from the Vaporfly 3 without sacrificing performance. The result is a lighter, more propulsive all-around racing shoe that’s trusted from the mile to the marathon. Features & Benefits: Full Speed The full-length carbon fiber Flyplate has a steeper angle than the Vaporfly 3 and, combined with a lower heel-to-toe drop, gives you a propulsive feel on race day. Lighter Foam Nike ZoomX, our most responsive foam, just got lighter. Running from heel to toe, it unlocks even more energy return than before with a slight midsole reduction, giving you a bouncy, feathery feel. Lighter Upper Engineered mesh helps reduce the shoe's weight while providing a more consistent fit. And we saved more weight by reducing the size of the heel and tongue. Lighter Midsole and Outsole The midsole bulges at the heel to reduce pressure on the inside of the foot, giving you a more stable ride. We reduced the outsole weight by using a thinner rubber than in the Vaporfly 3.
