The L.A. Marathon is almost here, and we will have a club aid station on the course. The location remains the same as in recent years, on Santa Monica Blvd at Thayer Ave, just before the 19-mile point.
Are you running? The Snail Cafe will have fruit, Twizzlers, gummy worms, Cherry Coke, and loud encouragement to help push you through the last 7.3 miles. An official aid station will have hydration two blocks away.
Would you like to join the party and cheer for your favorite runners? Come on out! Volunteers are always needed. There’s lots of free, unrestricted parking on nearby neighborhood streets. We recommend parking southeast of Santa Monica Blvd to make it easier to get out of there.
Traffic can be incredibly heavy on the northwest side of the course.
We will start setting up at 6:30. The location has a bench because it’s also a bus stop. There’s a McDonald’s very close by. On-course port-a-potties will be two blocks away.
Look for the A Snail’s Pace Canopy.
