This club event consists of a time handicapped, approximately 6-mile race along the Salt Creek Trail in Laguna Niguel, followed by a Potluck Brunch and Pool Party at Morris Manor. Coffee and water will be provided by the club. Race start is staggered based on participants’ past Stampede performance or recent race times for a hilly course. Bib pickup is from 6:15 – 7:00 a.m. at Morris Manor. (Address provided upon receipt of registration.) The slowest runner goes out first, followed proportionately by successively faster runners. The fastest runner goes out last. *Note: Start times will depend on the expected finish times and the number of participants.

Course: Out and back on rolling hills from Morris Manor to the PCH underpass. Runners will be checked off by volunteers at the turn around. No aid stations, so carrying water is advised.

Awards: Only ASPRC members in good standing are eligible for awards. Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 Overall Finishers. Additionally, trophies will be awarded to the first-time Stampeder whose finish time is closest to his or her predicted time and the veteran Stampeder whose time is most improved from the previous Stampede, but no“double dipping”. Disclaimer: the handicapping system is intended to level the playing field so that all participants have an equal chance at placing. No guarantees are made for its ultimate accuracy.

Entry Fee is $19 per person, and includes a high-quality Brooks technical singlet or tee. Bring a brunch dish to share and your swimsuit/towel for a post-run dip.

Stampede singlet order will be placed on the morning of August 1st. Registrations received after August 1st are not guaranteed Stampede apparel.

I certify that I am physically fit, have sufficiently prepared or trained for participation in this activity, and have not been advised to not participate by a qualified medical professional. I certify that there are no health-related reasons or problems which preclude my participation in this activity. I understand that there is a risk for bodily injury and assume that risk personally. I acknowledge that this Accident Waiver and Release of Liability Form will be used by the event holders, sponsors, and organizers of the activity in which I may participate and that it will govern my actions and responsibilities at said activity. I understand while participating in this activity, I may be photographed. I agree to allow my photo, video, or film likeness to be used for any legitimate purpose by the activity holders, producers, sponsors, organizers, and assigns. The Accident Waiver and Release of Liability Form shall be construed broadly to provide a release and waiver to the maximum extent permissible under applicable law.
